Current "Starter Kit" reccomendation for people :

Buy Online -
1. Buy 2 or 3 variable voltage ego style batteries. $50-$75
Ego style works with nearly every clearo/carto system, and variables really give you the best vape possible. I still carry one as a backup and while not as heavy duty as my bigger mods, gets the job done without much to complain about.
I like vision spinners, you can get joytech ego-Ts, itaste-VV, kanger twists, etc.
As to size the price doesn't vary much between smaller and larger batteriest so its more a matter of size and battery life. 1300mah will be the largest and used to last me around 2 days (now it would be 1+ days), you can find batteriest as small as 400mah. if you are unsure which size will work best, buy one 1100/1300 mah and one 650/900.

2. Buy 2-3 clearomizers. $15-$20
This is what holds the nicotine liquid and heats it up. I've tried most of the clearos out there from C4s to Protanks. What works for one doesn't always work best for another, however one of the best all around/easiest to use starter clearos I've found are Kanger Evods. They are easy to use, sturdy, and fairly inexpensive. They also look very sleak on ego batteries. One caveat, when you remove the EVOD from your battery hold it upside down as sometimes the base will stay attached and your juice will dump everywhere.

3. Replacement coils for Evods. $6-$12
I tell new vapers to buy a 5pk of replacement coils. I prefered 2.2 and they are a good middle ground coil.

4. Extras. $10-$30
A charger (or two, if you want one for home and work) for your ego batteries. Also several people like to have a case to carry supplies. Ego makes 3 sizes of a hard sided zipper case similar to a glasses case. You may find something that works equally at well laying around at home too.

Buying these items will be cheapest and you'll find best selection online.

Buy In a store -

1. 2-3 juices, 10-15ml each. $12-$30
I made the mistake of ordering juice online and not having any idea what my tastes were when it came to nicotine juice. Things I thought i'd like I didn't, things I never thought i'd like I did. Any decent ecig store will have a variety of juices you can try and they will provide you with a battery to try it (don't need your equipment!). Go into a store and try out flavors until you are dizzy. Pick 2-3 flavors and buy small bottles. Not only will your tastes vary when you quit smoking (tastebuds no longer coated in tobacco sludge) but as you "mature" as a vapor. Some people will like a juice in one type of delivery system and not in another. Buy a few small bottles and wait to buy larger ones until you have been vaping a few weeks.
